Amor y Dolor is a kaleidoscope look at my spirit. I was meditating on a vision and knew immediately who to reach out to make it all materialize in this realm the way my minds eye envisioned it. funding this entire project on my own has been hard, investing in yourself is so scary, not being able to shell out the money you know everyone deserves (YET! we steady lvl up) but working with people who believe in me the way i do them, really carried me through it. i am divinely blessed to be in community with you all Amor y Dolor Chapters One & Two in their entirety will be dropping tomorrow on YT thanks to DOP & editor @cultofcolt , creative direction and photographer @judeliana , set assistant @brownskinhazel , sculptor @deealvarado and mystery man @lostbros Kinky Love will be available on all platforms thanks to @alvincarrillo THE foogaze producer of my dreams and my brother @nicksedano i hope you all enjoy 💟

I’m so thrilled to finally share “Thorn In Yr Kiss”, the first single from Luster’s forthcoming LP & proper Funeral Party debut, that’s due out later this Fall. You can stream “Thorn In Yr Kiss” on your preferred streaming service. Mixed & mastered by the god Nick Bassett, so you know it sounds good. Link in profile!!! 🫡💯🔥🫶🥳 Utterly beautiful, yet melancholic - Damaged, yet brand new. A hungry, innovative shine and sheen of the now beyond rich (and often Los Angeles centered) scene of ‘post-post-synth / 80’s revival etc. - Far too often, bands of this nature in today's quick to summarize era, are pigeonholed as simply the retreading of sounds already once made - This would be an all too lazy observation of a shoe-gaze sound indeed all their own. From the first single, ‘Thorn In Yr Kiss’, it is greatly apparent the elegance and grandiose of the LPs songwriting and production while also retaining an immediate honesty and intimacy. 90’s throwback reversed and filtered drum loops, tear wrenching guitars, massive atmospheric tones and detailed textures all dripped with smoke and vapor hazed vocals. Each track holds interesting choices containing both a unique and unabashed use of electronics, while soaking tracks in stratosphere dwelling guitars and traditional, cult post-punk instrumentation. Ethereal and dreamlike, dark and dizzying, massive and exciting. The sound of Los Angeles. - Brandon Hill @starvedrelations @fantastiquehq
