🎁ENTERING MY 50TH YEAR🎁

I'm sure I just turned 40😂

Feeling very grateful to my family and friends for spoiling me, not only with these lovely gifts but also with time and laughter 😁

My children outdid themselves; my baby gifted me Pride and Prejudice in Space and the Water Lilys lego set, the middle one and his partner presented me with the rocking plants lego set, the GF mint slices and a couple of other treats that have *disappeared*, and my big girl @dlight_reads sent me the three books, lego frog and a frog keychain 🐸

My IRL book club besties got me the ACOTAR jigsaw and my gym buddies gave me wine and the turquoise Huski wine vessel (can you call it a wine glass if it's not made of glass??)

I was also very lucky to receive vouchers and cash from my family and colleagues - swipe to see some of my purchases! I also got some sports bras, but they didn't really work in the photo 😂

My plans this weekend involve making my lego and starting Dungeon Crawler Carl!

What are you up to?

🌻SEPTEMBER WRAP-UP🌻

Spring has sprung in NZ, and it's rained pretty much consistently for the last month ☔️ and October hasn't started any differently!!

Anyway, to the books! Another 9 books read; 4 audio, 5 physical and 6 from my shelves 😁 The stand out of the month again was my non fiction read, what an incredibly resilient woman!

🌻First Time Caller by B.K. Borison ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
☔️The Impossible Fortune by @misterosman ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌻A Hymn to Life by Giséle Pelicot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
☔️Gallant by V.E. Schwab ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🌻We Burned So Bright by T.J. Klune ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
☔️Off to the Races by Elsie Silver ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
🌻The Lamplighters Bookshop by Sophie Austin ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
☔️Dear Debbie by Freida McFadden ⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌻It's in His Kiss by @juliaquinnauthor ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I'm back up to date with my challenges:
1 x Neglected faithfuls
1 x Non fiction pick n mix
2 x IRL book club read (August & September)
1 x Mother/daughter buddy read

I only have 2 colours to go in my colour palette challenge, red and brown, I'm reading a red book at the moment... I'm going to have to go digging for a brown one!

What was your highlight of the month, reading or otherwise?

I participated in my first Deadly Dozen relay, the running nearly killed me, but the strength elements were pretty good. Ridiculously we're doing it again early in November 🤷‍♀️
