#LondonFrocktails Part 3
The fabulous evening was full of lovely meetings, smile, laughters, hugs, chats, compliments - and pictures and selfies for keeping all the good memories.

It’s so nice to meet again! On LondonFrocktails 2024, my first Frocktails, I walked catwalk with Jeanette @jeanettesewnesme and met her again at WelshFrocktailsCumry in Aberswyth last year. Helen was the first I met at the Prosecco reception at Premier Inn in Aberswyth, and it’s so nice to meet her and also Sue @sueleighatkins again.

Susie @susietaylor313 and Jo @vintage_jo_sew_and_sew are chatting. I met them at Aberswyth last year, and follow their participation at Frocktails around in Europe (the weekend after London in Madrid).

A chat with Tricia @morrissews and Dunja @cousettedunjette. Later in the evening Dunja walked the catwalk with me and Rachel.

So nice to see Carmen @carmencitablog again. We met at Aberswyth and walked the catwalk together. She are hosting @lefrocktaildeparis - wish I could go.

Thank goodness for @danieljames.photographic because otherwise there’s very little proof I was even at @londonfrocktails last Friday!

My heart is full and it’s taken me this long to start to process everything. None of it would have been possible without the immeasurable mutual support my 3 wonderful side kicks @sewthreadbear @ooobop and @offshesews, I like to think we worked pretty well as a team. Thank you so so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I spent last Thursday at the K+S working on the @tillybuttons stand and it was just the thing to take me out of my own head for a day. Thank you for asking me to help and for being Frocktails sponsors too 🙏🏻

On the Friday we were invited to join friends from all parts of the globe for lunch (and breakfast the day after too ☺️) so kind, and it meant we actually had a square meal beforehand!

And @velosews seems to have a knack of being everywhere, all at once, what a woman!

Thank you to every single person who came, seeing so many of you forming new connections, and strengthening the old ones was an absolute joy. And you all seemed to find the view pretty impressive!!

Where to start?! Well of course @londonfrocktails was fabulous. What a privilege to attend again. Caught up with many of my sewing buddies who I met last time and met some of my sewing heroes. Such a great night and fab location. The catwalk was loads of fun. I was lucky enough to win some scissors (thanks @ernestwrightltd).

Thanks to the wonderful Frocktails organizers. I know how much work goes into this event and it was soooo good.

I wore full #merchantandmills with my #trapezepartyhack made at my retreat last year in an Indian block print, #sandajacket with a #franclibag.

Us two were out and about at the NEC in Birmingham today. Our inaugural visit to the FOQ!!! 💕💕💕
We always have such a fun time together and Sue @sueleighatkins managed really well despite still suffering after her fall from her bicycle. 😢 My poor friend!!!
Saw some fabulous quilts including “lucky to know” by the wonderful Ronda @anakiequilter
And, of course, I was over the moon to finally meet the very fabulous @mattwilding !!! A lot of hero worship on my part I must say! He’s such a modest person too. ❤️
Purchases were made by both of us. @londonfrocktails figured in mine…
We also met a number of other fabulous people in the sewing community - Sue I’m sure will share her photos. Our meets included @cazsews @chase.glendora @sewgical_endeavours @shelburyuk @5arahel @still.i.stitch @alwaysaheart and her very amusing sister, Sharon. I feel so privileged to be a part of this wonderful community. My heart is full even if my bank account is less so. 😅

This wonderful hand embroidered heart patch for the #100plusheartsproject has come from Carroll @alwaysaheart
It’s to celebrate her Mum, Margaret.
In summary, Carroll explains that Margaret, at the age of 89, has recently been diagnosed with heart failure. This was caused by an undiagnosed heart attack in 2017.
Carroll says Margaret has always been into crafting; making clothes including fancy dress costumes as well as hand embroidery.
Carroll admires her for continuing to attend a weekly craft group.
Movingly she ends with “Margaret is far more than the matriarch of our family - she is the thread that binds us together, stitching generations with love, strength, creativity and devotion. We are endlessly grateful for everything she has given us, and her legacy will continue to live on in all of us”.

A huge thank you to everyone who follows me here, both long-time and new friends. Your support means so much.
A little about me:
I’m Les (Lesley), 71, turning 72 in June, a Gemini.
I live with my husband Paul (aka Mr McGregor) and we love gardening, cooking, and our renovated farmhouse + a small Norfolk cottage.
I retired from interior design 8 years ago and love art, interiors, music, culture, and fashion.
I have a daughter who is a chef and a son who lives and works in Dubai.
I love cooking (and cleaning 😉) and have almost always had short hair, my grey is slowly coming in!

A day of wonderful beach walks firstly South Beach, Tenby with the husband. Left him at home to watch Macclesfield slaughter Crystal Palace, what a day for the underdogs :) Then a relaxing trip to Freshwater West with a lovely friend @janbowen hunting out hag stones and driftwood. What a fantastic weekend. Planes, trains and automobiles and rugby :), started the weekend off with a visit to the Imperial War Museum Duxford. Stephen and Ethan were in their element I thoroughly ejoyed it too though. Friday evening a meal out all together with sister Sharon and b-i-l John. On Saturday a whirlwind tramp across London to get to Twickenham for the rugby international. I have never met such an amazing, polite, considerate crowd in all my life. 81,000+ people and the best result ever. I even stood by a kiwi, we shook hands before and after the game. A great day was had by all. Something to remind us all about what makes England and Britain great. Thank you Ethan and Lauren for hosting us. A gorgeous few days spent in Sussex a few weeks back with our daughter and son in law. I Keep forgetting to post! A lovely walk from Firle village to Charleston.
