Los AngelesのHochheim双子による兄弟インディーバンド、Always YouがWild Nothingをプロデューサーに迎えた新作アルバム『Against The World』を11月13日にリリースします！ ⁡ 2人はそれぞれBeach FossilsやThe Pains of Being Pure at Heartでも活動を行うUSインディー最重要兄弟でもあるAlways You。 ！ ⁡ The twin duo, Always You formed by Christoph and Anton Hochheim, two pivotal figures in the US indie scene who have also played in Beach Fossils and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, is going to release their new album "Against the World " on November 13. ⁡ The album was produced by Wild Nothing. ⁡ The twins have truly been central fixtures of the 2010s US indie field. For this album, they had a fresh collaboration with Wild Nothing frontman Jack Tatum as the main producer. Because they’re supporting their live show to play a guitar and drums for Wild Nothing’s set, and they have been joining them as a touring guitarist and drummer. ⁡ We will release a CD exclusively of “Against the World” and we also feature bonus tracks including special versions of Shadow Play" and "1994". Both are bonus tracks with special guest, Erika Murphy（Luby Sparks）who sings in Japanese. ⁡ 【Release Info】 ⁡ Always You 『Against The World』 Release Date：2026.11.13（Fri） Format：Digital / CD Tracklist： ⁡ 1. Always You – Against The World There is a Pains of Being Pure At Heart link in Always You (@alwayschristoph) through shared band members. There is also a Pet Shop Boys link, as their music, this Against The World in particular, really reminds me of the music of the British synth pop duo. Do I mind? Let me say that The Pet Shop Boys were among the first bands I fell in love with, when ten-year-old me explained to my mum how It’s A Sin gave me a special feeling in my belly. I still like them a lot. And I really like Always You too. See link in bio for the full song.

Sept 19 @BrooklynParamount, it was great to see Brooklyn-formed noise pop band @ThePainsOfBeingPureAtHeart opening for @NationOfLanguage (a group they influenced) on the same stage where I first saw them at @SlideAwayFest 2025, with the mostly classic lineup of @The_Natvral Kip Berman 🎤 🎸 (a former @BigTakeoverMag contributor), Peggy Wang 🎤 🎹, @Kurt_Feldman 🥁, longtime tour 🎸 and now full member @AlwaysChristoph, & @Connor_Hanwick on bass, in their only hometown show of the year. The Pains sounded crisp & crunchy in a set that included many songs from their glistening, exuberant 2009 @SlumberlandRecords eponymous debut LP, of which one highlight was a roaring version of "Come Saturday". 📽️ + 📝 @TheMickLewis #ThePainsOfBeingPureAtHeart #ComeSaturday #IndiePop #NoisePop #SlumberlandRecords
