I AM AN IRONMAN | 140.6 miles | 14 hours 41 minutes | 8.5 months of pure grind.

36 weeks ago, I took a leap: I signed up for the longest-distance triathlon as my first. From zero to 140.6—why? Because comfort kills. It kills goals, relationships, potential, and the feeling of truly being alive. I knew I had to shake things up.

But the transformation wasn’t just physical; it was about discovering my character, breaking limits I thought impossible. Over 252 days, I learned how to show up as my best self, day after day.

Training was an entirely new level. When I signed up, I’d only been running for a month and had no experience swimming. Running was tough, but friends at @rundaynights made the miles enjoyable. Swimming? A humbling struggle. I threw on a swim cap, jumped in the pool, and was completely gassed after one lap. YouTube became my coach. Slowly, I learned to swim—less water swallowed, more confidence gained.

The schedule was intense: six days a week, rotating swim, bike, and run. As miles increased, I dropped to four days, realizing it’s not about checking boxes but training with purpose. Some workouts were after 12-hour shifts, where I learned the difference between pushing and progressing.

This Ironman journey broke me down, stripped away any masks, leaving me raw and real. Endurance sports push you to your limits until you face your true self, whether you like it or not. Some days, I didn’t like what I saw. Others, I discovered strengths I didn’t know existed.

This journey was more than miles—it was a confrontation with my inner world. I hit rock bottom more than once, especially during those lonely long sessions. But in that stripped-down space, I found clarity. I learned that healthy habits shouldn’t distract from your emotions.

At 24, I don’t have all the answers, but I’ll keep pursuing the next version of myself. This pursuit—through fitness, travel, and self-growth—is the best adventure. I feel incredibly grateful to have placed my toe on that start line.

For 2025? I don’t know what’s next, but I know I’ll find it. The real challenge is to keep showing up daily, even with no finish line in sight. 🏁 IRONMAN CHAPTER DONE 😈
