Come with us behind the scenes to learn more about our latest community project with Arc’teryx Kitsilano and @hmpldesign.

Unlocking Purpose through Upcycling: HMPL and Arc'teryx Kitsilano have collaborated on a community project that breathes new life into old materials. @hmpldesign is a local design company that specializes in cycling products. Their primary objective is to develop durable and long-lasting items that seamlessly blend into our multifaceted lifestyles.

Thanks to the ReBird™ Service Centre at Arc'teryx Kitsilano, we've developed an intimate understanding of our product's lifespan and discovered an opportunity through our community. While we always prioritize repairing garments before replacing them, we recognize that some items reach the end of their practical lifespan. So, what happens next? Through strong community connections, we've successfully diverted salvaged materials from unrepairable garments, repurposing them into bike bags meticulously crafted by HMPL, right here in Vancouver. These bags feature upcycled Gore-Tex materials and zippers from unrepairable Arc'teryx shells in a variety of different colours.

Join us on July 8th at @khatsahlano Street Party to purchase 1 of 100 bike bags, all proceeds will be going to the Indigenous Life Sports Academy @ilsacrew.

Shot the clip and cover art for this beaut a year out of film school w/ the goat @alyskovv

One of the projects I look back on fondly. 3 days, 3 crew, 19000 ft of expired 35 mm we didn’t pay for
🤑🤑🤑 Oh my days!

We revisited Kate’s childhood landmarks in the mountainous backdrop of Kamloops. Slogged gear up cliffs. And wore all the hats. Dream proj. Glad to see this one out in the world <3

Endlessly grateful to the crew and cast who helped make “Rare Birds” possible. This was a deeply personal project and I’m so thankful for everyone who came along with me on my rural Manitoba journey. 🌾🦟🦆🌞

Thank you to the amazing crew of Rare Birds. We had a wild week in rural Manitoba shooting @robindallav short film which has been something we’ve talked about doing for a long time. It was great to work with old university buddies and to make some new Winnipeg friends.

Rare Birds coming soon!
