Dear Softball,

thank you for the last 15 years of my life. The last 15 years have been the most challenging yet rewarding years ever. I can’t imagine my life without it. from the late nights tournaments to the early mornings. i have loved it. I will miss the late nights playing and the running around the hotel rooms. I will miss playing outfield and hitting! This sport has shaped me into the young woman I am!

now to Searcy softball,

Thank you for having me these four years. thank you for loving me and taking care of me through the injuries, the good times, and the bad times. I can’t imagine playing with any others girls. y’all have become not just teammates but family! I love y’all more than I could ever express.

to all the coaches along the way,

thank you all so much for believing in me when I didn’t believe in my self. Not many people get to say they have had amazing coaches on every team they have played on but I get to. Thank you Coach Chop, Jason Jackson, Marty Rhodes, Chris Pozza, Jacob Futrell and so many other amazing people. y’all have made me the ball player I am today and I appreciate everything y’all have poured into me.

and lastly dear mom and dad,

thank y’all for running me all across the country to play the game I love. thank you for never losing faith in my abilities! i cannot express how much these years of playing softball have meant to me and I couldn’t have done any of it without y’all. Y’all have been my biggest supporters through it all. thank y’all for the late night practices when you have to be at work at 5 am, the pitching lessons 45 minutes away, the hitting lessons, the softball camps, and the tournaments all over. I loved every second of it and I can’t thank yall enough! I love you mom and dad. ♥️

This post felt so far in the future about a year ago, like i’d never have to say goodbye. But the time has come. Saying goodbye to softball feels bittersweet. It’s more than just a game. It’s been a place of growth, friendship, and countless memories. Even though this chapter of my life has come to an end, the lessons learned and the joy shared will stay with me forever. I’m grateful for every pitch, every catch, and every cheer from the sidelines. Softball, thank you for being a part of my journey — this isn’t really goodbye, just see you later.

Words can’t describe how thankful for how grateful I am for all these people. I truly don’t think I could’ve done it without them. Some of them I’ve known since elementary some have been with me since day one and some have only came into my life within the past two years, but I deeply love and care for everyone who has helped me get this far and I will forever be grateful for meeting them. These people have welcomed me into their families as one of their own and have helped me solve problems that I didn’t even know had solutions. Love you guys. Until we meet again!
