Hi everyone! 🦋 I wanted to introduce myself.

I’m Jamie, a 28-year-old Pilates instructor living in New York City.

I was born and raised on the East Coast and discovered my passion for movement in high school as a way to move my body outside of sports. That love eventually led me to Pilates during COVID, where I learned to connect my breath with movement in a way I never had before.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me at home with my cat, Theo, spending time with friends and family, thrifting (both in person and online), enjoying a good museum, grabbing a matcha, dancing in my apartment or out with friends, or diving into something new that sparks my curiosity.

I have a holistic outlook on life and try to incorporate acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine into my everyday wellness practices. I’m also incredibly grateful to have lived and traveled in different parts of the world. Those experiences have opened my eyes to new ways of living, and I try to carry those lessons with me every day.

To me, life is all about balance. As much as I love trying the latest wellness trend, I also love a great meal, a good glass of wine, dancing at techno sets and slow days at the beach. If we ever take a beach trip together, you’ll 1000% find me searching for seashells.

As much as I love being around people, I truly cherish my alone time. Journaling, astrology, and exploring spirituality help me stay connected to myself. I’m endlessly fascinated by the spiritual side of life and love learning more whenever I can.

One of my favorite tips for staying grounded—especially in the middle of busy New York City—is simple: if you’re near a park and the grass is dry, take off your shoes and stand barefoot for a few minutes. Close your eyes, call your energy back to yourself and breathe. It always helps me reconnect.

I’m so excited to live, breathe, and move alongside all of you. Thank you for being here. 🤍

xx,
Jamie

Just an hour from Cape Town, Vygie in Wellington is a farm-to-table spot definitely worth the drive! 🌾🧺

Every plate tells a story of local produce— pair it with local wine or their delicious rooibos iced tea & soak in the stunning views.
