Today felt like the epitome of what The Stanley Fund for Recovery is all about. 🧡🚲

We brought our entourage of 20 to @miriams.house Polo in the Palisades (thank you, Brenda and Patricia!), including nonprofit partners, friends in recovery, and new folks being introduced to this work for the very first time.

Some of our partners even told us they’d always wanted to attend Polo in the Palisades but hadn’t had the chance. Getting to open that door and bring so many different communities together is one of the ways we help make this work more visible.

I loved watching people connect, cross-pollinate, discover each other’s work, and spark new relationships.

I was a little nervous going into this event as a super introvert, but my heart is full knowing that people walked away with new connections, new inspiration, and a little piece of Stanley’s legacy to carry forward. 🤍

Some of the orgs we’re honored to support:

Congrats to all of the honorees!

Happy birthday to me! 🎂✨

Turning a year older always brings a wave of reflection, and this year, I wanted to give myself a birthday gift that truly matters. I’ve been incredibly eager to dive into Out of Focus: Why Gen Z's Mental Health Crisis Is More Complex Than You Think by @alyvredenburgh

While it originally came in a digital format, I knew I wanted to fully immerse myself in its pages without the constant distraction of a screen. So, I took it down to a local print shop to have it physically printed and beautifully bound. There is just something irreplaceable about the weight of a physical book in your hands—holding it makes the journey of reading feel so much more real and intentional. 📖

From everything I've seen, this book offers an incredibly brilliant, systemic look at modern mental health, moving past the usual surface-level stereotypes to look at the bigger picture. I can already tell it is going to be an eye-opening, deeply impactful read for this next chapter of my life.

Here’s to a new year of life, constant learning, personal growth, and understanding the world around us just a little bit deeper.

Time to make a warm cup of coffee, unplug for a bit, and dive in! ☕🍂🛋️
