Dreams coming true ❤️

The other day I was talking with Ama as we enjoyed our new house.

It’s crazy because during that conversation I realized that when I was younger I used to think things like:

Wouldn’t it be cool to own a house in another country.

Wouldn’t it be cool to marry someone from another place in the world.

Wouldn’t it be cool if I was able to do something crazy like that.

I probably had these thoughts when I was 12-17 years old.

It’s crazy to think I’m 35 and my life has ended up here.

I couldn’t be happier.

We get married in 4 days ❤️❤️❤️

I guess all I want to remind you of.

Anything is possible if you really want it.

2 years ago this was just an idea. ❤️

An idea for a future for us.

For two years we waited to see what this could turn into.

We visited the community almost monthly for the last 10 months.

Today was the first sign of progress.

I am thrilled our house is finally being built.

More to come. But this is our future home ❤️

One of the perks of investing into a private community here in Mexico is that we get access to private beach clubs.

Yesterday we checked one of them out.

These are our friends who are the reason we are building our house here.

Super thankful for them ❤️

I can’t believe it’s been 4 years ❤️

There are days this is still shocking to me.

Waking up every day living my dream. 🌴

Sometimes I ask myself how I’ve done it. How have I made it here?

I often think back to quotes that have stuck with me. The two that come to mind that I often reflect on daily are.

1 - “life’s simple, you make choices and you never look back” - fast and the furious

2- “I don’t want to be on my death bed living with regrets” - it’s just something I say to myself.

I’ve never regretted moving to Mexico and building a life here.

And it’s been a truly amazing choice with nothing to look back on.

Canada will always be home in its own way. But now Mexico is becoming home ❤️
