Abendlied by Josef Rheinberger. We initially worked on this piece a long time ago, but recently have been exploring it again and are finding even more moments to love. Watch til the end to hear feedback from our very own Ben Johns!

We had such a wonderful time working with Amy Gordon on her beautiful piece Magic for this summer’s Golden Hour Chamber Music concert series. Amy’s piece is a setting of poetry written by her late aunt, Susan Jordan, and we were so honored to be able to share such a special piece of music with our communities. Thank you Amy for your collaboration and trust!

It’s been 40 years and lots of blood, sweat and tears. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my journey, by helping me, coaching me, supporting me, loving me, hating me, leaving me and cheating me along the way. Life wouldn’t be what it has been without all of it. (Thank you to my queen @t.hania.co for planning my surprise birthday celebration, it was unexpected and I appreciate you gathering friends and family together. My apologies to the friends and family who didn’t get invited, apparently Tania doesn’t know you exist, she doesn’t like you, accidentally forgot about you or in Gen Z terms you “low key lost your aura”. 🤷‍♂️)

As you no doubt have heard from ESPN and multiple sports media outlets the Burbank Blues slow pitch softball team lost the championship game Tuesday night by one run. It was so much fun, a lot of friends came out to support us … @ody.ramirez_ even brought a marching band! The L was tough but it’s pretty cool we made it so far in our first season. What a great group of guys!

We loved performing for Golden Hour: Poets and Painters this last Saturday in Fullerton. If you missed the concert, don’t worry! We will be back this Saturday, 8/29, at Glendale First Baptist Church at 7pm. This concert is so special and we have loved collaborating with the other chamber groups on the program. The concert is free! Check out @goldenhourchambermusic for more information. We hope to see you this weekend!

Many thanks to our friend @jasperrandallcomposer for capturing this moment from the concert!

Resonant and Richard An will be performing Magic, the third movement from Amy Gordon’s As Time Stops To Rest. This piece is incredibly special and sets text by Amy’s late aunt, Susan Jordan. We are honored to share this beautiful piece of music- check out our website for more information on the free concerts coming up this weekend and next.

This summer I started a softball team made up of musicians and teenagers, The Burbank Blues. No matter if we’re winning or losing we always have a great time and talk copious amounts of s#!t. It’s been a lot of fun. The Blues ended the regular season on a 4-game win streak and locked up the #1 seed for the playoffs. Happy to be playing with these fine gentlemen!
