One thing about Lagos… it always understands the assignment. 🇳🇬✨

You can’t spend time in Lagos without spending time with Nollywood.

Generosity often changes shape the longer we practice it.

For Amaechi Okobi, Chief Communications Officer at Access Holdings, that shift became clear after meeting a woman living with sickle cell during an awareness drive, an encounter that turned statistics into a person.

He recalls once donating blood for a monetary reward, aware that lives were being saved but focused on what he stood to gain. Today, he gives for a different reason entirely, humbled by the knowledge that this small act could save a life.

Last week, I had the privilege of joining the Access Bank family, partners and friends at the annual Access Bank UK Polo Day in support of the Access Bank–Fifth Chukker School in Kaduna, Nigeria.

As I watched the day unfold, I couldn’t help but reflect on what nearly two decades of consistency and commitment can achieve. This initiative has helped build more than 120 classrooms, opened doors to education for thousands of children and transformed lives in communities that need it most.

It’s inspiring to see organisations that understand that success isn’t measured only by what we achieve, but by the lives we impact along the way.

Moments like these remind me that real legacy is built through service, partnership and a genuine commitment to creating opportunities for others.

It is important that beyond the nicety of World Class Polo, Fine Wine and Great company, we shed light on the great philantropy work that Access Polo Cup covers in Kaduna state Nigeria with the Fifth Chukker Access Bank School.

As we sat at dinner, It was heartwarming to hear the voices of 2 students and their teacher who live and breath in hope for a better Nigeria in a state where so much fear and negative press around safety lies..

I'm personally impressed to even hear that this school won a combined academic/sports competition against St Saviours a popular Ikoyi school. This is quality education @myaccessbank @fifthchukker @accessholdingsplc , this is great work.

Congratulations to all who donated and huge congratulations Access Bank Plc. for the great work supporting education in Kaduna.. You are stakeholders in building a new Nigeria.
