We are very glad to invite you to our solo exhibition Death by Landscape @hausfuerkunsturi, the first show under the new director @hello_gioia <3

The exhibition title refers to the short story by Margaret Atwood that haunts all three of Mouthless' video pieces that we get to show all together for the first time. Thank you for this Gioia!

One of the central themes of Death by Landscape is trying to understand the synthetic concept of Nature and how it came into existence. The exhibition is a study of the lack of comprehension, a meditation on free-flowing mutation, and a shift of perspective on humankind and the natural world. Confusion seeps into the cracks of history and flourishes in the comforting darkness, intricately organic like wet forest moss. Losing the rigidity of knowledge becomes a liberatory experience which enables finding voice for those who have been denied it – today and through the centuries.

Opening: 21 June (come see us after Art Basel!)
