Having our whole travels account @sailing.elsa deleted has made me mad and wondering if instagram is even my space at all anymore.

I have been silent to feel if I actually want to be a part of this show any more. If this space give me more than it takes? I am not still quite sure.

Although I have loved sharing our journey and I like to express this more energetic side of me too in here, I don’t like that someone else are in control of my space. That someone can gaslight me into believing that what I do is wrong.

I still feel rather calm about it. When I spoke to the last support guy he told me that I was the most humble and supportive person he had interacted with today and that he admired my positivity.

But what kind of world is it we live in, where a small positive family travel account can be closed without warning, with no possible ways of having a second opinion. In a world where porn and hate is everywhere?

It makes me sad that we live in a world like that, in a world where support people are not able to help due to fixed company rules and where they’re met with so much frustration and hate. Just think to have that kind of job and all the frustration poured over you every day, that can’t be easy?

So my thoughts so far? I would rather build up real life communities, where you’re actually held and supportet.

I am not sure how yet, but stay tuned to learn more!

Untill then, enjoy a little special moment with a mola mola we had the other day when sailing. True magical moment out there in the real world! Mola molas are so tranquil, reminding me to just be, go with the flow and relax🩵

Every step you take listening inwards leads you closer to your dreams…

I had never imagined that I would find myself in the Komodo National Park, let alone to have used the past four years sailing here with my family.

When I was in 1st grade on of my classmates travelled for a year with his family. I remember how cool it was, but mostly I remember him telling about Komodo dragons, thinking I want to go there too. Now I made it, 30 years later, my daughter being roughly the same age I had back then, in that classroom…

Sometimes life just unfolds in more magical ways than you could ever have imagined. You don’t always need to see the bigger picture, but you need to be brave enough to listen inwards and trust the steps you’re shown…

I just rewatched Sing 2 with my kids this morning and was reminded how much words matter.

Your words matter. Those to yourself and those you say to others. Both the good ones and the bad ones. Sometimes words are magical and can lift you to the sky, sometimes it can confuse you or completely tear you apart.

So choose your words carefully both the ones you say to yourself and to others. A word telling you that you’re not good enough, that you don’t belong or that you’ll never heal can get stuck in your body for years. It becomes your truth cause your body remembers it all, although you might not.

I have let go of so many restraining believes that I didn’t even know I had, people opinions that I had transformed into truth to make myself smaller. I didn’t realize it until I let it go and healed it.

And if I can, so can you! Set yourself free, step into that person you’re meant to be, be the one that dares to follow your dreams. Tell yourself yes and believe in the ideas and the callings you get, even though others might hesitate…

So who am I? I am just me being me, living my best life.

My name is Amalie. I am 37, wife, mother of two wonderful kids & fulltime traveller too. For the past 3 years I have sailed and explored the world with my family. Sucked in culture, people, places and lived pretty much every breath of it…

Last stop for this time, Barbados 🇧🇧
What a privilege it's been to first get to cross the Atlantic with my sister and her family, and then to explore the island with them and my parents.
It's been absolutely amazing with so much quality time and adventures. And amazing people, food and nature (when one gets out of Bridgetown

We really did it! 16 days sailing from Cape Verde to Barbados, 2111 nautical miles / 3909 kilometres. Roughly the same as from Sydney to Perth.

It's been an amazing crossing. Filled with, me, being crazy seasick and sleeping 18 hours a day. Having swells taller than the boat (4-5m)
Catching and eating lots of Mahi Mahi, Amber jacks and yellow fin tuna. Swimming out in the middle of the Atlantic with more than 5k to the bottom and nothing to see but crystal clear blue water. Seeing both pilot whales, dolphins and jumping tuna.
A bit of reading and lot's of loosing in backgammon to @mborchorst
And much, much more!

I feel extremely lucky to have been able to share this experience with my sister and her family at @sailing.elsa

Now it's time to explore Barbados before heading back home in not to long.

And I’m so excited that I’m able to call myself a certified facereader. This weekend has been full of celebrations, tears, and dancing to mark the end of an journey 🪄 And what a journey…

To my teacher @fattimaloreen , It is hard to put into words the love I have for you, and what you've taught me the past 9 months. I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of the first group of students, and learn the teachings of facereading and energy. Because of you, I've grown into my potential and started walking my path. Thank you from the bottom of my open heart ❤️

To my fellow students, thank you for all your support and for holding space for me through these past 9 months. It’s been so amazing to learn and grow together with you, and you will forever have a very special place in my heart. I can’t wait to see how our paths intertwine in the future✨
