Big weekend for the squad, with our athletes racing across distances and most of them building towards Goa. 🏊🚴🏃

The BMF triathlon brought out the best in our team, and a special mention to the first-timers who took the plunge.

Olympic distance:
Oliver came 2nd in his wave in 2:20:03, staying red hot after weeks of consistent racing and showing exactly how it's done.
Ujjwal took 3rd in 2:30:03, carrying three weeks of fatigue into the race and still holding a steady, disciplined pace when there was nothing easy about it. That's racing with your head as much as your legs.
Nupur brought home 2nd in her wave in 3:23:43, another strong day out.

Sprint distance:
Aman finished 4th overall in 1:30:50 in his first race back after recovery. A statement of intent.
Pankaj clocked 1:50:00 and keeps improving every single race, with all that work on his swim technique clearly paying off.
Vamsi took on his first ever open water triathlon in 2:13:42. The open water is where it gets real, and he met it head on.
Pushpendra completed his first ever triathlon in 1:50:15. The first one you never forget.

Beyond BMF:
Pratyush put down a monster 100km at L’Etape in 2:54:46, finishing 13th in his age group and 28th overall out of 235.
Antonin took on Mysore for a painful but brilliant first outdoor experience, and is already hungry for the next one.

First triathlons, comebacks, podium waves, and ultra distances, all in one weekend. This is what the team is made of.

Now we turn our eyes to Goa. Stay tuned!👀⚡️

The last three weeks have been rough. A lot of training, and honestly I think I just ran out of juice today. But I still showed up, because you never know. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, and you don't find out until you try. So I tried.

BMF Olympic distance.

Started swimming well for the first 200, 300 meters and then my battery just went off. After the first loop I tried to stand up to go back for the second one and I just couldn't. Blood didn't go to my brain, nearly blacked out. As much as I wanted to keep drilling, I had to take a small break to protect the body. Laid in the water for a bit, then carried on.

Once I got on the bike it was much better. I can relax on the bike, but not on the swim. Swim you just have to keep working, keep exerting. So I wanted to get it done and get on the bike. First 10k I chilled, took it easy, stayed on the base bars, didn't get too aero. My average power was actually less than my Ironman power from back when I was less fit than I am now. So that should tell you where I was today. Pretty cooked.

Some days you race to the best of your abilities. Some days it's a character building day. Today I just didn't want to give up. I finished about 30 minutes off my actual Olympic timing, but I'm really happy I didn't give in. I could have done an easy swim bike run and called it. Instead I pushed it to the end even with the tank empty, which was a new feeling. Heart rate wasn't climbing, the body was just empty. I've raced sick before and I know when the heart rate is high you risk falling really sick after. Today it wasn't that, so I felt I could still give it everything.

Managed to secure third with the boys @anirudhrav74 and @rantoindia
A Good day.

A race weekend to be proud of. 🙌
Our athletes were out there across the world last weekend, and they crushed it:

→ Aman took on his first ever HYROX Doubles in 1:40, all while deep in Ironman Goa prep. A brutal new challenge mid-training, and he crushed it.

→ Tarun ran the San Francisco Half Marathon in 2:17, and did it coming back from a long injury. Patient recovery, then straight back to racing. Real resilience.

→ Rajesh powered through his 12.5K in a strong 69 minutes. Fast and consistent as ever.

→ Shruthi completed her 12.5K in 1:30, every kilometre earned.

Different corners of the world, one team. This is what showing up looks like

Proud of every one of you. On to the next one. 🔥

Sunday mornings belong to the water.
Every week, the ULTRA squad gets in the pool. Some are training for their first sprint triathlon. Some are 5 weeks from an Ironman.

Some are still figuring out their freestyle. All of them show up on Sunday morning.

We believe at ULTRA that the pace does not matter. The level does not matter. What matters is that you are in the lane, doing the work, getting better than you were last Sunday. Swimming is the discipline most people in India come to triathlon without.

It is also the one that changes the most with the right environment around you. Not just coaching. The person in the next lane is a few months ahead of you. The one who was where you were six weeks ago and now looks completely different in the water.

That is what these sessions are. Every Sunday. Same pool. Same group. Coach guiding you to the best technique.

RACE RESULTS | Bergman Mysore & Tuffman

Aman and Pankaj crossed their first triathlon finish line at Bergman Mysore, a challenging course, and a tougher journey to get there.

Months of battling swim anxiety and self-doubt. None of that mattered. They showed up, executed, and finished.

Ujjwal claimed 1st in his age group with the same focus he brings every session.

Over at Tuffman, Akanksha and Shashank put down serious performances. Shashank clocked a 1:48 half-marathon, and Akanksha pushed through with relentless effort from start to finish.

One mentality: trust the process, do the work, finish strong.

Well done, all of you.

Our athletes finished Bergman Mysore and for Aman and Pankaj, this was their first triathlon.
Not an easy course.
Not an easy journey to get here either.

Months ago, they were unsure about the swim, questioning if they could even get through it. Today, they crossed the finish line.

Ujjwal took 1st in his age group.

This is what happens when doubt turns into training, and training turns into proof.

Watching people move from "I don't know if I can" to "I did" never gets old. This is why we do what we do.
