there aren’t really enough words to describe my time at WRD. growing up, it has been my home. before i knew it, my teachers had become 2nd mothers to me, my peers had become sisters, and hours of classes and rehearsals became my favorite parts of the week. i will always cherish the countless memories of performing, making holiday dances, hangouts, classes, and just spending the first chapter of our lives together. thank you to this family for making me the person i am today. i have so much love in my heart for everyone i have met and bonded with in these last 11 years, and will always cherish my time as a student at WRD!! this is such a hard goodbye, but i know this is a family that will last a lifetime. dream team for life!!

My last nutcracker 🥹…

I am so incredibly grateful for all the people that have gotten me to this point in my life.
To my team, thank you for always laughing with me and working hard beside me. You have given me the most loving dance community and there is never a dull moment. You all push me to work hard and are so supportive. I wouldn’t be the dancer I am without your guys love.
To my teachers, thank you for always pushing me to be my best. You have all helped me to build such strong connections in the dance world, and I can’t imagine my training without any of you there to guide me. As I take my next steps in my dance career I will never forget the lessons that the WRD staff has taught me. You all have the biggest hearts and have taught me to turn any space into a supportive loving one.
Lastly to my family, you have been at every nutcracker since my party kid days.
I can’t imagine my last nutcracker without hearing the loud cheers of you all front and center. I love you all to no end❤️❤️

And just like that it’s over! Words fall short on how much this production has meant to me. I’m so lucky to have been able to share the stage with such a talented and passionate group of people, my favorite people. This officially marks my first principal role and I still cannot believe I was given this opportunity. The past 6 weeks have been the most emotionally, physically and mentally challenging weeks of my life but it was so so so worth every single second. My god, I know that i’ll forever be chasing the feeling of being on stage singing Waterloo with all of you and if I had the chance, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. A huge thank you to everyone who made this happen, thank you for trusting me with Sophie

and thank you for the music, for giving it to me 🤍🩵
