I never know how to put these two weeks into words…

@boulderjazzdanceworkshop has always been such a special place. Something you have to experience to know what I’m talking about.

This was the 48th year of the workshop and the 5th year that @rachael_harding and I have been directing and owning. If you know the both of us, you know that from our personalities, to choreography, to movement styles… we are exact opposites. But we are like two puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly. I am always inspired by Rachael and wouldn’t want to be on this journey with anyone else.

Months of planning and 2 weeks of 15 hour days are exhausting, but it’s worth it to see all of the students grow and to spend so much time with my dance friends #adultsummercamp

🎥 This year I set a piece on our youth company, made a dance film with our full workshop students, set a piece on our professional company: the Boulder Jazz Dance Collective, and @lo.hathaway and I premiered @chromadanceproject to the world.

Counting down the days until 2027.

(If you’ve ever been a part of this workshop, we are already planning the 50th anniversary in 2028. We hope that every one of you can join us)
