The Paper Trail - Screening and Fundraiser 🌳

9/27/26:
After almost a month of filming for this class assignment turned passion project, I was able to pull off something that little me only ever dreamed of!
As someone who used to want to work in wildlife conservation, I had so many ideas about ways to change the world. To make it better. To help reduce the impact of climate change and slow down species decline. But those were big ideas for a little girl. What could she REALLY do?
She could go to acting school!

Of course, I didn't end up choosing the conservationist career path. But my passion for the topic never dimmed. So when my Intro To Filmmaking teacher asked me what my short film was going to be about....

Inspired by the VAST amount of paper waste I see at our school every day, The Paper Trail came to be.

But just making a short film about it wasn't enough.
So after a lot of research and organization, I decided to host a screening that would double as a fundraiser.
I invited everyone I knew, asked my jewelry and pastry making friends to be vendors, had my incredible AD give a presentation about sustainable living, and in the end...
this small but enthusiastic group of college students came together and raised 206 dollars for @rainforestactionnetwork (a non profit who's focuses are grounded in rainforest conservation)

I couldn't be more proud of us! It's admittedly more than I was expecting- which is the greatest surprise ever. I can't extend enough thanks to everyone who showed up and showed out at this event to support a cause that's greater than any of us! I seriously couldn't have done it without yall.

Special Thanks -
Cecilia Crockett, Madeline Moore, Dani Zarie, Elle Walters, Elijah Tyler Brown, Laurentz, and the entire cast of The Paper Trail

And a very special thanks to Demi Liu, my incredible Assistant Director and truly my #2 through this entire journey.

I look forward to the next one. 💚

On the night before Halloween, we treated a select audience of industry members & friends to the premiere live table read of Cocoa Doll! 🎃🔪🖤

I’m still buzzing from this event!! Hearing the words come to life in a room full of talent, support, and spooky energy was pure magic. Thank you to this WONDERFUL cast of actors, I’m so honored that you all poured your talents into this event and elevated my words. Thanks to my EPs @ungermedia @altaglobal.media and @thedazeyphase for believing in this wild script and thank you to our sponsors who made this spontaneous idea we had, actually possible (@mpvusa @mpachollywoodbureau @islamicscholarshipfund and @emersoncollege).

And for anyone interested in what’s next for Cocoa Doll… we’re looking for financing to do this for real so if you got 💰💰💰you know where to find me 👀
