“Friendships with Debby Felix” – The First of Many

The decline of meaningful connections is deeply affecting young people, but we are building something different, a space for real friendships, growth, and community.

Our first gathering was everything I hoped for and more; insightful, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder of why true friendships matter. To be honest, none of this would have been possible without God’s grace and guidance.

Did you know?
The Igbo word for ‘human being’ literally translates to “Mmadu” which however, is its shortened form and doesn’t quite convey the meaning effectively.

Its fuller form “Mma ndu” which is still largely retained in some Igbo dialects, better captures it.

“Mma ndu” (mma’du, mman’u) simply means “The beauty of life” or “The beauty of creation”.

This speaks so profoundly to the respect and premium the Igbo culture places on human life while also highlighting our intrinsic individual, as well as, collective sacredness and essence as integral parts of and masters of the universe.
It’s a new dispensation and as we transition into it may we eschew #negativity and let our glory shine forth.
Let the world experience the true potential of the innate #beauty that you posses and then maybe we can begin to truly record, not symbolic; rather, consequential and demonstrable positives in our quest to make and leave the world a better place.

My sincerest condolences especially to our people in Eha Amufu Enugu and Ihube Okigwe whose lives, dignity, sources of livelihood, homes and communities have for the past month been incessantly laid siege to by terrorists of all shades and forms, with devastating consequences, as well as to other families and victims of terrorism in other parts of the #East and around #Nigeria in general.

May the enemies of both our individual and collective destinies sooner bear witness unto themselves of their deeds and reap their deserved rewards. Iseee!
And may #2023 (which ‘naturally’ starts in March. IYKYK) be all shades of positive for us all
