my third album is out in less than 24 hours. this record was borne from a deep pain and trauma that i was going through in march, and i transmuted into a record about love, hope and JOY. the magnificent @ryanmarshallstudio came on board and we worked on the bulk of it together. then the gem that is @rare_weather came on board, too, and also shared his studio space where we recorded strings, horns, all the additional vocals. a plethora of musicians gave their valuable time and energy to this music both near and far. @pvinerecords believed in this music as soon as i sent the demos via DM. @peermusic have ALWAYS believed in me, and i'm forever grateful. i am still going through the motions and feeling very afraid to be visible, but i'd be doing a complete disservice to all of the people who poured their talents and love to this album. it is bigger than me. i hope this music can impact your lives positively. please share with the folks you love. SOULWAVE 2153, out august 7. love and light to you all x

Oh #MelodyMondays cheers to 8 years of sharing music with a little more intention 🎉🥂 Mondays in July are a celebration. Slowly surely, I haven’t let loving music die; one playlist, video essay and interview at a time.

To everyone who’s lent their ears, found a new song, shared songs with me, yapped about music alongside me, it doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated. I don’t know where this baby would be with the unending support 🥹 Here’s to chasing the dream, and patting myself on the back for keeping consistent, it’s not always cute but a reminder that nothing is for nothing. I love this platform down. Stay turned for 30 days of music coming in August 🎶

‘BIG EGO’ is a bold celebration of self-confidence, self-worth, and personal empowerment. Beneath the playful boasting and larger-than-life swagger, it's about
someone who has survived hardship, chosen healing over pain, and stepped fully into their power. The lyrics embrace confidence as a form of resistance, particularly through
the lens of being young, Black, and unapologetically authentic. The song encourages listeners to stand up for themselves, speak their truth loudly, and refuse to let others
diminish their value. It is an anthem of self-love, resilience, and claiming space in a world that often tries to make you shrink.

written by me, and produced by myself and @ryanmarshallstudio, with a plethora of voices, the first single from my third album, SOULWAVE 2153 releases JUNE 26. pre-save right now, via the link in my bio ⭑
