This awesome photo sometimes pops up in my phones “memeories” and I love it when it does. This was a Tinsel show way back in 2020 - pictured is @amarinawaters with backup from @itsmemaxon @kerrynfields & @thehunterexpress - great show! It reminded me to check up on music from Amarina - so pleased to see a new record that I totally missed! The record “END OF THE WORLD FANTASY” is so good! Been listening all week and love it. If you haven’t checked it out - do it!

Oh hey - hope everyone is doing well - sorry we have been a little quiet!

to be together, in the sea, smiling, ear to ear, friends, the road, grumbling about sleeplessness, tumbling through endless changes, notes, sound checks, hotel sheets, friendly couches, swims, swings, side-of-road-nude-changes and butt naked bathroom breaks, quiet drives, loud drives, grumpy, giggly, snacky, and snack-less flights.... i am grateful to be here 🌏 thank you australia for the opportunity to make a living playing and writing songs. It is a huge honor and i will cherish and tend to it as best as i can in this starving society.

Last show is in Perth on April 4 and i hardly know anyone there so send your friends if you have any out west. i get to play it along side @heathcotebluemusic

love, mimi

a tiny cover of @amarinawaters’ perfect song Reheated Dinners off her new record which I love almost as much as the person herself 🌹 all microwaves should sing this song when they are finished. she is a walking poem and these songs are proof of it, go listen on anything except spotify.

Just over a week ago my beautiful friend @amarinawaters put out her debut album End Of The World Fantasy. I love this album nearly as much as I love the woman herself and I have been waiting years for this song in particular to be out in the world. I cry every time I hear it and I’ve tried and tried to play it half as well as Am does but nothing compares to her version so just do yourselves a favour and listen to the original ❤️

End Of The World Fantasy by @amarinawaters is out today!

Seldom does a song feel so much like a season that you can almost feel the hot wind or icy stillness on your skin while you listen. On her debut album End of the World Fantasy, Dja Dja Wurrung/Castlemaine-based songwriter Amarina Waters unveils nine breathtaking alt-folk songs that shimmer with longing, wit and clarity, including the focus single, ‘So Long Marianne Faithful’ on Friday 14 November, 2025.

Recorded in Aotearoa/New Zealand with award-winning producer Ben Edwards (Marlon Williams, Aldous Harding, Julia Jacklin), End of the World Fantasy captures Waters’ trademark ability to turn the ordinary into the transcendent. Each song feels like a postcard from the edge of love, mortality and nature’s infinite patience, each line a reminder of the fragile, luminous connections that bind us.

Huge thanks to her beautiful friends @alparkinson and @hannahcameronmusic for helping get this album out there!

Do yourself a favour and purchase this album via @bandcamp. Link in our bio.

Such a special weekend of shows with @rubymarygill . Feeling very grateful to be on this first leg of Rub’s album launch tour. Hard to imagine a more inspiring scenario to be quite honest. Special mention to @oldstonehall_beechworth for hosting what was one of my favourite shows I’ve ever played.

Tour continues this week in Naarm at @northcotesocialclub . I’m playing on Thursday night which is sold out but if you missed out on tickets to that show I implore you to attend tomorrow night because @juicewebster + @rubymarygill is an unmissable combo ❤️
