yo we gearing up for halloween now my absolute favorite holiday!!! Mark your calendars as this will be a rager. We just had a dope river rave last week, so epic to float down the river and put on music. We started these parties with halloween and are psyched to keep bringing in people from all over for this very special event. You want to add to the festivites? We love working with people that do all sorts of art or want to vend. Let's team up and make this the most epic halloween ever!! ❤️🔥❤️

🔥 📻 New noise from Makenu! 📻 🔥

Five songs of psychedelic cumbia from Makenu are out now, the result of years of collaboration between musicians from Chile, Argentina, Peru, Puerto Rico and California. We are proud to share this music with our friends and family from around the world, especially to honor the spirit of our friend Lyza Padilla, who anchors the songs with her elegant and strong bass playing throughout. We are blessed to have traveled and performed with her throughout Northern California and Hawaii, and offer this music as a way to celebrate her enduring legacy.

These songs are rooted in cumbia, with tastes of reggae, salsa, ska, hip hop, afrobeat, and punk. The energy of Makenu is communal celebration, and we are so happy to share it with you…

Jaime Cortez Pierola - vocals, percussion
Marco Zuleta Araya - vocals, guitar
Christopher Chia - vocals, percussion
Lyza Padilla - vocals, bass
Johanna Bilandzija - percussion
David Gonzalez Dupuy - vocals, percussion
Daniel Nickerson - keys

Recorded by Jason Goldstein
Mixed by Matias Malinarich
Mastered by Daniel Ovie
Artwork by Gabi DeMarco
