POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Another month comes to end, but that means a whole new playlist.

Welcome to the March faves, a playlist full of best tracks from emerging artists. From country-pop to dancefloor fillers, there is something for everyone here. And who knows you might even find your new favourite artist. (you definitely will)

Here are the highlights

Sister duo @sistramusic are set to release their debut album in May. As a treat they released a new track from the album. ‘Is It Just Me?’ is an alt-pop anthem that explores loneliness in codependency. SISTRA have a special talent of tackling hard subjects with addictive beats, sad songs that mask themselves as party starters.

Indie-popstar @nieveella has also treated us to a new track. ‘Drive’ is just as addicting as her previous releases. With every new track she is proving that she is one to watch. From her witty lyrics to addictive melodies, she is soon to become indie’s next big thing.

The final highlight comes from @augustjamesleifeld . Like all great tracks I found this one on a TikTok doomscroll. His lyrics are so clever and will stay with you for days. If you are a fan of Audrey Hibbert’s witty and smart lyricisms you will love ‘High Dive’ and August James discography. And he is already teasing a new single!

You can listen to the full playlist on Spotify (last slide)

Let me know what your favourite track is!

10/10 Recommends: @amasthetic – Delicate Paws 🎯

Spun on @casskidd Alternative Selection on @bbc1xtra last night. Alpha Maria (formerly AMA) returns after four years away with Delicate Paws is @amasthetic first single of this new chapter.

Produced by @tomoquigley_ and mixed by @nikobattistini, it’s the sound of years of graft and self-discovery locking into place. Delicate Paws flips vulnerability into strength, owning the rough edges and finding power in imperfection.

Pulling from influences like Kelela, Florence + the Machine and Lady Gaga, she turns raw emotion into anthemic alt-pop in her own way. Fresh, intentional, built to resonate.

Swipe to hear it and stream the full track via our 10/10 Recommends playlist on Spotify 🎧

Catch @casskidd’s Alternative Selection every Tuesday night on @bbc1xtra, 9–11pm. 📡

Alpha Maria Has Arrived: AMA Reclaims Her Power with ‘Delicate Paws’

After four years of growth, evolution, and self-discovery, UK pop artist AMA re-emerges under a bold new name: Alpha Maria. Her first independent single, Delicate Paws, marks a powerful new chapter — one built on freedom, creativity, and artistic control.

Having made music since the age of 15, Alpha Maria now steps fully into her sound with a self-assured track that blends modern pop with raw emotional depth. Produced by @tomoquigley_ and mixed by @nikobattistini, Delicate Paws is dreamy, fierce, and unfiltered — a reflection of the journey that brought her here.

“The last four years have been such an amazing journey of self discovery,” she writes, “and I only now feel like I’ve truly come into my own.” That honesty pulses through the track and its visuals — bold, grounded, and unapologetically her.
Shot with the help of @matt.248, @wiisniaa, @anjali.ayp, and @alexpbal, the imagery is raw and powerful: a woman crawling through glass, transformed but unbroken.

Delicate Paws isn’t just a debut under a new name — it’s a declaration. Alpha Maria is stepping into the spotlight not as a product of the industry, but as an independent force with a clear vision and a firm grip on the sound of modern pop.

This is only the beginning — and Alpha Maria is one to watch.

🎧 Delicate Paws out now.
