🚀 Intergalactic Surf Trip is dedicated to neurodivergent and adaptive surfers! 💙

This year, I had the incredible opportunity to gift 50+ books to kids across the United States, Hawaii, and even New Zealand! @surfershealing and @bluewatersurftherapy

Here are just a few of the beautiful faces who received the book! 🥹💙

For many of us, surfing and enjoying the ocean is something we can easily take for granted. But for these kids, a day in the ocean can be the best day of their entire year.

Bringing home this book a reminder of the magical moments they’ve experienced in the ocean.

Giving back and spreading joy is truly the best feeling on the planet. Nothing compares. ❤️

Forever grateful to each and every one of these amazing groms for teaching me so much about courage, happiness, and living in the moment.

Abigail tem paralisia cerebral e utiliza muletas para se locomover com mais independência.

Durante uma visita ao Animal Kingdom, ela encontrou a DiVine, uma performer que se movimenta sobre pernas de pau e se mistura à vegetação do parque. Mas, para Abby, aquele encontro parece ter significado algo a mais. Ao olhar para a personagem se apoiando em suas estruturas para caminhar, ela encontrou algo em que podia se reconhecer.

Depois do encontro, o vídeo conta que Abby passou o restante do dia praticando os movimentos que tinha acabado de ver.

É difícil assistir a essa cena sem pensar no poder da identificação. Quando alguém olha ao redor e encontra algo que também se parece com a sua forma de estar no mundo, a experiência deixa de ser apenas algo que ela observa. Ela passa a sentir que também faz parte dela.

É por isso que pertencimento importa tanto nas experiências que criamos, nas empresas que lideramos e nos ambientes que construímos.

Às vezes, fazer alguém se sentir parte pode ser uma das formas mais bonitas de encantar.

When Emily Meagher found out her daughter, Abby Meagher, was diagnosed with ataxic cerebral palsy, she turned to social media to connect with other families who could understand what she and Abby were experiencing.

One of those connections helped kickstart Abby’s modeling career, and the 12-year-old has gone on to appear in campaigns for Target, Walmart, Costco and TJ Maxx. Tap the link in bio to read more.

I always struggle when it comes to finding the right words to describe the magic that goes down at these @surfershealing events. You can see and feel the love from everyone around you.

There’s so many amazing things I could say. So I’ll start by saying one of my favorites. For me, it’s when I get to witness the transformation that happens within these kids when you take them out in the ocean for the first time. Watching them go from nervousness/fear to comfortable and calm is something that I’ll cherish forever!

There are so many people to thank. Thank you to @izzypaskowitz @isaiahpaskowitz thank you to all of the volunteers, photographers, the best @surfershealing crew and a special thank you to the parents of these kids for trusting us with your children.
