Putting on for our City but most importantly our grandmothers the matriarchs of our family’s ✨🙏🏾

Me and @flexdame grew up together and met in high school at @casstechalumni. I never knew our grandmothers homes were not even 10 minutes away from each other until we worked on this project together.

These locations shown in both photos for Holiday magazine N.390 weren’t just set locations or art they are our grandmothers homes, our light our families light our energy and life. Our names don’t have to be written in the book, we are the book we are the Detroit locals and the glue to this entire issue. I am blessed to say our light is shining bright not only in Detroit but internationally 🙏🏾✨❤️

Thank you @holidaymagazine for seeing us and our city and the reciprocity we have with not just our community and peers but our family too.

That’s what Detroit is, here we love here we share, here we express ourselves with truth and dignity. I love my city and its nothing anyone can tell me about it.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out yesterday and everyone involved to make this possible. ✨✨🙏🏾
