See, many folks mistaken the summit of a mountain to be what you've been waiting for. Eagerly racing to the the top, you wait for these merits to make you whole. And in disappointment, you find another mountain to climb.

Only to find that the next peak will be as fleeting as the last. Mountain after moutain, you soon realize that life isn't comprised of a series of mountains to climb, but rather the climb is disguised as life itself.

So for anyone who cares to listen...
-
Find clarity in what you want in life. Put them in a sequence of importance, and lock your eyes on those priorities. Bc if you don't live by your priorities, you will live by your pressures. & if your output exceeds your input, your upkeep will be your downfall

Here is my sequence:
-Live to the fullest, tomorrow is never promised
-Serve your people with your God given talents
-Give unceasingly, karma will never forget

To my queen: Your palace awaits you.
To my princess: You will NOT have me wrapped around your delicate little pinky 🌸

{Our tribe}
There’s something about anesthesia school that changes you.

You walk in wondering if you’re good enough. Then residency hits & imposter syndrome gets loud. The long nights. The early mornings. The relentless studying. The financial sacrifices. The fear of failure that nobody outside of it can really understand.

Your family can tell you how proud they are. Your friends can celebrate the letters behind your name. But unless they’ve lived it, they may never fully understand what it cost you to get there.

Then you find your people.

You meet CRNAs who know exactly what those sleepless nights felt like. People who understand the pressure, the sacrifice, the doubt…& somehow still chose to keep going.

That’s what I’ve come to love about this tribe.

Anesthesia school was never the finish line. It was the beginning.

Bc this career has introduced me to educators, entrepreneurs, investors, business owners, association leaders, new parents, travelers, mentors, & people who have faced their own setbacks & still decided to give back.

Some may be influencers bc of their follower count.

But the people I admire most influence the people around them w/o needing a platform.

They remind me to stay present. To keep learning. To give more than I take. To build something that outlives me.

& maybe that’s the real gift of this career.

You start anesthesia school trying to prove you belong.

Eventually, you realize you were never meant to do it alone.

Find your people. Build your tribe. Tell your story. Give back.

The world is a lot bigger than the OR…& there’s still so much of it left to see.

If you can see it, you can build it.

The best conference yet filled with amazing people, new connections and growing friendships. I’m so thankful these are the people I get to surround myself with😭. We’ve all celebrated each others wins, supported businesses, rallied around new life, and watched each other grow in tremendous ways!

Community is something I struggled HARD to find in school. In fact I left mine behind in order to chase this dream. Now, I feel my community has exploded in ways I never knew existed and the outpouring of love is palpable. Who knew so many people from vastly different life backgrounds, practice models, training and geographies can come together with such power?? The light of the profession is BRIGHT and I’m excited to see everyone in New Orleans.
