“time to rejoice”
these 3 simple words were spoken over me last night and so that’s what i did. i rejoiced.

i rejoiced because i was in the presence of God, at passion, with so many people i loved, watching God move and show me i wasn’t alone.

vulnerable, but not alone. so i rejoiced.

we get stuck in “prison” and even through the unwanted process and hard places, God has not forgotten His promises to you.
“don’t quit.”
“don’t give in.”
“don’t give satan anything else.”
“your identity doesn’t come from the prison.”
“be faithful in the prison if you ever expect to get promoted to the palace.”
“the dream isn’t just about us, it’s about the eternal promise of God.”
all of these things were truth spoken over my life that moved my heart entirely. so i rejoiced.

i walked into passion with deep hurts, pain from loss and wishing certain things had gone differently. i walked out with the same pains but a different perspective.
one that reminds me that what looks hopeless isn’t. that God is with me through the process and that the fire i’m walking through isn’t wasted.
God uses the fire for our good and that leads to a deep work that’s going to be painful but more importantly it’s going to turn our hearts to Him.

but it’s not about my pain, it’s about the blood. the blood of Christ that can turn my brokenness into purpose. the blood that I didn’t earn.
so here i am to rejoice, not because my life is perfect or because i understand. not because i’m fearless or strong but because of the blood that fills in the gaps.

to experience passion was like nothing i’ve ever witnessed before.
it was Jesus’ presence in the room.
it was thousands of young adults speaking the name of Jesus in worship.
it was truly the best weekend i’ve ever experienced and my God moved.

as i prepare to go back to virginia, i also prepare to turn my heart to Christ, take my thoughts captive and let the fire turn me into the woman i need to be to fulfill God’s purpose for my life and i can do it all thanks to the blood.
