When you see my Hollywood Waves, you see the finished result.

You don’t see the years of learning, practising and figuring things out that came before them.

I came from the salon, where I was confident with cutting, colouring and blow-dries. But bridal hairstyling was a completely different skill set.

I had to learn how to prep hair properly, create shape, pin securely and understand why certain techniques worked better than others.

And slowly, things started to click.

I developed my skills, found the styles I loved creating and built my reputation around them.

I’m sharing this because I know there are hairdressers out there who would love to get into bridal but feel like they should already know how to do it.

You don’t.

You can learn the foundations, build your confidence and develop your own style along the way.

Starting again at 41 💕

I’ve spent seven years building a bridal hair business I’m proud of, but there’s something I’ve wanted to do for YEARS.

💄 Makeup

Over the last 18 months, I’ve been quietly taking steps towards this. I’ve attended masterclasses with makeup artists I admire, styled hair for models while watching other artists work, and started figuring out what I love, what I don’t, and what kind of makeup artist I’d like to become.

I’ve been putting myself in rooms that once felt a little out of reach, trying to learn as much as I can before taking the leap myself.

And now? It’s time to stop thinking about it and actually do it.

I’ve never done anyone else’s makeup. I’ve only ever done my own. So I’m starting at the beginning, learning, practising on models and seeing if I can build a bridal makeup business alongside the hair business I’ve spent seven years creating.

I’m going to share the real journey, not just the polished results.

And I want to acknowledge the artists who’ve helped inspire this next step. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and letting me learn from watching you. 😘🫶✨
