Celebrating 4 years of Douglas Fir in my life today!
Beyond lucky to call this dog mine, and I know he’s beyond lucky to have me!
To say I’m proud of you would be an understatement, you have completely blown me away with your mountain skills, your goofy playfulness, your love and gentle soul.
You’ve been there to celebrate my highs and supported me on my lows, you helped me get through rough patches in life, as I moved through the emotions of life.
You’re a wise old soul, just like your poppa.
So far you were raised at Keefer Lake, grew up in Kaslo, road tripped all the way to Ontario and back in blazing heat, did work shifts in Calgary, experienced your first winter in New Denver. Then spent spring/ summer living on the Kicking Horse River out of Golden, back to Calgary for work, then to Salmo, followed by Passmore and now in sunny Krestova. While also experiencing Rossland and Nelson with friends and going to places that I’ve never been, or have friends that I’ve never met 😝.
You’ve been up to Old Glory, Mt. Airy, Ymir Peak, Mt Brennan, Mt Buchanan, and so many more all on your own, covering lots of ground. You’ve learned to float the rivers, and flow across lakes in canoes.
So many thank yous to people that have helped me with Douglas, you know who you are.
Thanks for loving him, treating him well, and allowing me to do what I needed to do.
It’s made Douglas a social butterfly and easily adaptable.
Much love everyone, and much love to you Douglas and of course your brother Teddy as well.
Dogs are the best.

The best flavours are found off the beaten path. Nelson and the surrounding area have more restaurants per capita than foodie landmarks like San Francisco, Vancouver, and Manhattan, offering a wide variety of cuisine to satisfy any craving.

From bunch to late-night eats, snacks to multi-course feasts, there's plenty of awesome to find on a plate here.

Visit the link in our bio and bring your appetite!

There are good ships, there are wood ships, there are ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be
