I’m not going to write another play. At least, not for a while.

I love theatre. I love rehearsals, running on three cups of coffee and a prayer, staining my script with red pen as I trim dialogue. I love late nights teching plots; walking into the inky midnight blue of a dark theatre and flicking the lights on, hearing the hiss and fizz of the electricity humming to life. I love dressing room tables cluttered with lipsticks and tights hanging over the back of chairs. I love the swish of the curtain; the giddiness of standing in the wings and hearing an audience settle in. I love champagne on opening nights, and I love striking the set at the end of it all.

But most of all, I love the first read-through. There’s a kind of magic that only happens when I give actors a new script and just let ‘em rip, knowing that my story’s earliest sparks are suddenly made real, put down like a pin in a map. We’re still adrift in uncharted waters, but the sea is no longer so wild — and nor am I so alone in it.

I’m going to miss it so much. But I’ve been a playwright for nearly a decade, and I’m ready to find out what other kinds of writer I can be.

And because of that, I know ‘If the Fates Allow’ was the perfect script to close out this chapter of my life. A story about people growing up and moving on. People who seek joy and chase dreams, who want and wish and hope for the best, even when they’ve learned to expect the worst.

Alyssa, Amber, Daisy, Darcy, Elly, Emily, Greta, Madeleine, Meredith, Reuby, Shannon and Veronica, thank you for giving this wee play your all. If I ever need to pull off an elaborate casino heist, you’ll be the first people I call. ❤️

From all of the GAS crew - thank you.

It was an amazing opportunity for all involved and to have three sold out shows, and even more tickets purchased at the door, we’re stunned and honoured.

Directors Note: The process for the exploration and creation of GAS has been extremely rewarding and challenging and I’m beyond grateful for the help provided during rehearsals, pre-production and post-production. That kind of response to a new work, devised and created by recent graduates of drama school, is a big eye-opener to how community operates within the creative industry.

Much love, GAS Cast and Crew 🤍😶‍🌫️

MELBOURNE 🔥

What an incredible third stop on the Australian tour with US Casting Director Jamie Castro. 🇦🇺🇺🇸

Actors travelled from all over to join us, bringing energy, commitment, and a genuine passion for the craft. The calibre of talent in the room was phenomenal, and it was inspiring to see so many actors willing to challenge themselves and embrace the work.

A special thank you to everyone who braved the cold to be there. Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and willingness to learn made this another unforgettable stop on the tour.

Melbourne, thank you for showing up and bringing such incredible energy to the room. We loved every minute.

Next stop: Adelaide ✈️

From Tatiana 💌: Finally taking the time to honour this beautiful short we shot back in 2024 ; it was a time of change and transition and growth for me and I couldn’t be more humbled, proud and grateful for the experience of working with this material, with this epic group of artists.

Here it is, out there, for whoever may need some inspiration and soul soothing that being true to yourself is a liberation. Biggest thank you to Marissa for trusting me with this precious Pearl. 🦪🌸🧸🐷
