If only I could go back and tell my 19-year-old self that everything would work out. I still can’t believe I graduated!! 🤍

I remember being so scared when I found out I was pregnant, thinking college was over for me. I was so wrong.

From changing majors, going back to school two weeks postpartum, trying to study with a colic baby, working a job, trying as many side hustles as possible, and doing it all while being a young mom 24/7 — there were so many late-night exams, studying for finals, and trying to cram everything in during any free time I had.

Taking 7 classes during my last semester was one of the hardest times of my life, but I’m so glad I pushed through and made it to the finish line.

There’s a statistic that fewer than 2% of teen moms are able to graduate college and earn a degree by the age of 30. I’m proud to say I’m within that 2%.

My “why” has always been my beautiful daughter, Sadie. When I had her, I knew I had to do everything in my power to get an education and earn my degree for her. I’m so grateful I can set an example for Sadie and show her that it only takes one person to believe in you — and that person can be yourself.

I’ll always remind her of this quote from one of my favorite movies, The Pursuit of Happyness:
“Don’t ever let somebody tell you you can’t do something. You got a dream, you’ve got to protect it. If you want something, go get it.”

Thank you to all my friends and family that have supported me throughout this process!!

I officially graduated with my Associate’s degree in Business Administration, and I will continue my education to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. 🫶🏼
