BE PART OF THE FESTIVAL! Share your sound!

The @ambient_radio_community is calling YOU! Ready to join our audio adventure? Take-off is on February 7, 2022. With your help, we will build our communities’ audible spaces. Every day from Monday to Friday, in the three weeks preceding the festival, we will publish a short recording task for you to explore the world through sounds. All you need to participate is a mobile phone, curiosity and your ears. Share your recordings with the community and, sound by sound, we’ll build a park, a water body and a town square. Your recordings will become part of the live performance and a podcast series, featuring other SONOHR artists and inputs from the community.
Participating is easy as pie: Subscribe to our daily short letter and follow us on our social media channels!

Today marks the day of my official released date for my new single "Red Sun"!

If you spent the summer months in Ontario you may recall a dreamy red sun which rose and set upon us during heatwaves and summer storms. During this time I was in the middle of writing Red Sun. The image and video featured as artwork were taken on a dreamy cove beach in Tiny, ON.

To me, my favourite ambient tracks move in a way where there is no structure, but if you stop and listen to the many abstract sounds and layers, you can make sense of your own story. This track began with a repetitive melodic piano lead followed by a light drone which can be heard throughout the entire track. The chime like sound you hear is my interpretation of soft wind that made its way through fluttering leaves, and this sound was created simply by my hand moving up and down the neck of my guitar, saturated in delay and reverb. The rest of the song features electric and bass guitar, and of course sounds from a few analogue synths. Oh, and the nature sounds that you hear, this was a field recording that I captured in a peaceful cottage in Mansfield, ON

Red Sun is out everywhere today, link in bio xx

Hello everyone. I was interviewed on @ambient_radio by its lovely host @nirakknif . She asked me many interesting questions about my feelings and thoughts on sound and nature. She led me into interesting territory to reflect upon and I hope you’ll have a listen. I also shared with @ambient_radio a song from my upcoming album with @pastinside . Also in the episode Karin talks with @mutus_sonus about Mt Etna in Sicily where he is from. Please find Ambient Radio on SoundCloud to hear the episode. Link in my bio. I hope you enjoy the show. I highly recommend joining their community and listening to all of the other episodes as well.
