There is something really quite liberating about existing in your own body without apology. I take photos in lingerie, in swimsuits, in my daily outfits because when I was growing up and in my early twenties I felt so alone. I never saw bodies like mine, I never saw fat people wearing nice things, I never saw plus size women with confidence. Here's the thing: I don't care if other people find me attractive, that's not actually why I share photos of myself. I share my pictures to inspire others to love themselves as they are in this moment; because bodies of all sizes and shapes need visibility and representation; and because sometimes I just feel bloody awesome. I do it for the 18 year old version of myself who thought she wasn't good enough as she was, for everyone who grew up thinking those things. I'm a firm believer in not having to wait for a "special occasion" to dress up. If you want to dress fancy because it makes you feel fabulous then I say do it - whether it's for a party, you're meeting a friend for drinks, or because it's Tuesday and you just feel like it. Children unashamedly run around in superhero outfits and princess dresses, but somehow on the way to being an adult we forget to have fun when we are getting dressed. You know where I wore my @societyplus tutu yesterday? Running errands and going to the grocer. Sure some people may have given me funny looks but you know what? I felt blimmin amazing in this outfit and I have zero regrets! Don't wait for that special occasion, dress up now! #thisismkstyle
