Unboxing new pieces is always fun, and this lighting fixture is no exception! 💡 Meet Mr Magoo, designed by Mirco Crosatto for Italian lighting brand Linea Light Group. Its soft, sculptural form creates a beautifully diffused glow. This wasn’t actually our first choice for the home. We originally selected a more traditional, hat-shaped pendant made from felt. We loved it, but because it was going into a kitchen, we became concerned that the felt might absorb grease and moisture over time. So we kept looking and found Mr Magoo instead. Our client was drawn to its irregular shape and soft appearance, and once it’s illuminated, it will bring so much warmth to the space! 😊 #mrmagoo #interiordesign #interiordesignersydney #residentialdesign #ambitcurator

A night of good food, great conversation and beautiful design at our La Cornue Surry Hills showroom. 🥂 We recently welcomed a small group of guests for an intimate three-course dinner, created by our in-house Culinary Ambassador, Chef Jack Mylott. Over dinner, we explored the differences and similarities between European and Australian design. From craftsmanship and quality, to the way climate, space and everyday living shape the homes we create. It was less about deciding which approach is better, and more about sharing ideas, perspectives and seeing what each can teach us about the other. A very special evening spent around the table with some wonderful people. Partnered with @habitusliving @indesignlive Visuals by @tempusvisuals @studio.hyperfocus Menu and Catering @chef.jack.mylott Stay tuned for more! ⭐️

My heart is full. “The Significance Is In The Differences”, my first solo exhibition took place last week. It was very last minute, and very mini- only showed 20 works from my on-going project A Painting A Day. Oh but the amount of love and support I received! “The most wasteful of it all, is to not take action”. When @inslashex so generously offered this opportunity, I thought it was a sign for me to stop procrastinating. The meaning of what we do is never defined by ourselves, but by ones who heard/ touched/ felt us; and nothing would come from inaction. This is a small step towards giving back to domestic violence survivors. A portion of artist proceeds will be donated to local not-for-profit organization @hopeandhealretreat . Any future proceeds from A Painting A Day will continue to do so. Domestic violence is not a taboo. It is something happens in life, more common and more severe than we’d like to believe - no one is alone, there is help. In photos or not, you know you have been there along my journey and you are forever in my heart. Special thanks to @annac6298 for encouraging me to take this on and helped me with setting everything up ❤️ For amazing humans purchased my work to support the cause, thank you for making this step real 🙏 Again, thank you, thank you, thank you. #originalart #painting #taiwanart #australiaart #arttherapy Olivia is a practicing architect for 25 years. She has been an artist across multiple mediums since before being an architect. She is currently on a journey of A Painting A Day - continuously and consistently painting everyday as means to heal and overcome trauma.
