My beautiful Candace,

Happy 33rd birthday to the daughter who has been keeping me on my toes since the day you arrived… loud, determined, and already acting like you had somewhere important to be. Honestly, not much has changed. You just do everything bigger now… bigger dreams, bigger strength, bigger personality… and yes, sometimes bigger opinions too.

I want you to know how incredibly proud I am of the woman you have become. You walk through this world with confidence and fire, like you were born knowing exactly who you are. You are fierce in all the best ways… strong, bold, and completely unwilling to dim your light for anyone. Watching you grow into that kind of woman has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

And seeing you as a mother? That right there melts my heart every single time. The love, patience, and strength you pour into your daughter is beautiful to witness. You’re raising her with the same power and love that lives inside you, and that makes me so proud I could burst.

I thank God every day that He chose me… me… to be the one you came through to enter this world. What a blessing. What a responsibility. What a gift. You were never meant to just exist… you were meant to set this world on fire, and baby, you have been striking matches since day one.

Now let’s be honest… we get on each other’s nerves sometimes. Okay… maybe more than sometimes. But underneath every eye roll, every “girl, please,” and every moment where we both insist we’re right… there is a love that cannot be measured, explained, or shaken. We love each other beyond words, beyond limits, beyond anything this world could ever define. And I wouldn’t trade that kind of love for anything.

So today, I celebrate you… your strength, your heart, your laughter, your motherhood, your fire, and every beautiful piece of who you are.

Happy 33rd birthday, my daughter. My pride. My joy. My forever love.

Love always,
Mom

This is 27! Happy Birthday to me. 🤎🙏🏾🍾✨ As I walk through my mountainous path of life, fighting through valleys and celebrating the peaks, I continue to learn more and more about myself, my purpose and the blessing of people around me that I celebrate as well. Through it all I’ve learned to stay grounded, intentional, purposeful, patient, loving, caring, generous, and ambitious. I am grateful for another year! 🙏🏾

1 year loc’d in … when people call this a loc journey it is definitely that. It’s things during this process that you will learn about yourself and grow from and through. Embrace every stage and allow this journey to be whatever it needs to be for you.
I started with loc extensions then gradually started cutting them around month 5 until I got to my natural locs. I have even wore a few protective styles over my locs over this year. It’s your journey. Do you Boo. 😘💋
