learned a lot! met artists with so much advice and insights to give! felt at home being back in a big city. thank you mcc art club for this awesome opportunity to experience something new!

also accidentally twinning with linda was a fun and cool and rad experience or whatever. and visiting the northern clay center was kinda surreal.. like, you mean, the place that’s always on my instagram feed? ok…

Just got back home after an incredible three days at the Dallas Pottery Invitational! It was such an honor to be one of the invited artists this year.

Huge thanks to the amazing core and guest artists—it was truly inspiring to share the space with such talent. And to everyone who visited the show, thank you for your support and kind words.

The Dallas weather was perfect, and the whole weekend felt like a celebration of clay and community. Until next time!

Your weekend plans need to include stopping by the galleries and checking out the group show, Bottles!

Bottles highlights the various construction techniques, firing methods, and surface work the artists used to create their ceramic vessels.

such important things for me in 2023:

1. rosemary 💛 i miss you so much and not a day goes by where your absence is felt. genuinely hoping for the best for you!!!
2. kitten care 🐱 i never stop thinking about the hours i poured into kitten care and how much i loved these kittens as my own. thank you dr. james and miranda for investing as much into these kittens as i did, if not more 💛
3. korea trip ✈️ saw family again. connected with people i hadn’t seen in years. got to try new things. and of course, returned with more stickers.
4. just silly goofy things ❗️❗️
5. the whole department flooded and it not only destroyed my mental health but i also started anxiety meds and got several diagnoses that changed the course of my life (no fucking wonder). i’m so glad i quit this job but i miss it every day.
6&7 (photos by laura!!),8. took a ceramics class at mcc because i couldn’t forget about the ceramics class i took at NU. i went crazy and i’m so glad i was unemployed at this time. i learned so much and met the coolest and most talented people. reconsidered my life choices and brain has been replayed with clay tbh 🧠
