At the last studio showing, our dancers ranged in age from 12 to 68, from zero months to 3 months to 8 months pregnant, from the first time on stage in 5 to 10 to 50 years, from all shapes and sizes and levels of experience with dance. Have YOU been making excuses as to why you can’t dance (again or for the first time)? Maybe 2020 is the year to change that. January NYC classes and the February weekend intensive are officially announced and open for registration! Click that link in the bio for all the options, or DM me if you’re feeling shy. Would be happy to chat before you sign up :) . 🎥Video by @jenn_won 💕✨

That’s a wrap! Congratulations to our 2019 cast of #theDanceRebelsRevivalShow 💜💃🏽🌈 Overheard from audience: “vulnerable, powerful, remembering what’s true, inspired.”

"What class do you teach right before choir on Wednesday nights?" A young woman asked me this question and when I told her "Ballet," she said: "That's ballet?! It looks so fun and I love the music!!" ...Which is the kind of response that makes me happy! Come see our ballet Rebel students in action with the coolest dance piece ever on June 28th as part of the Dance Rebels' Revival Show. Code JESS10 to save on the ticket price because I love youuuuuu. 💃🏽🎫 p.s. Ballet Rebels will continue this fall in nyc, DM me if you’d like to join us!

Day 23 of #danceinmay2019 - PIECE. Here’s a piece of the piece I’m choreographing for my beginner Ballet Rebels class, as part of the big show on June 28th in Brooklyn. 👣💃🏽Ballet might’ve been constricting, and destructive in certain ways in the past, but i think it’s always brought a sense of peace amidst the chaos of life. ☮️ . 🎶 music by @stromae

Day 15 of #danceinmay2019 - TUNNEL. This was a post Ballet Rebel class effort to make a dance tunnel on the street. An acting teacher once told me, "the only way out is through." And I think that applies to dance and life, as well. We evolve when we are willing to go through the tunnels and be in the darkness for awhile. The other end is in sight. Cheers to all of us going through it in one way or another 🙃💃🏽✨
