Another belated ski adventure post, this time in the backyard with @ragoldieford, @ameliasmart, @fisherjamie and Tess. All of us have stared at the couloirs on Little Sir Donald for years. How could you not? Every skier in Golden has surely wondered how hard they are to get to - and the answer is: very hard. As Ryan and I have discovered on a few ill fated attempts to reach them from the valley.

This time though, Ryan only had one day off from double toddler dad duty, so we had @tupperwarethom of @whitetoothheli give us a ride up there. Along with the aforementioned crush squad, consisting of several of the best skiers we know!

This allowed us time to ski cold snow in both couloirs, plus the full west face from the summit in perfect corn before exiting via 12 Mile to Ryan’s waiting truck. Still a full day mission, despite the five minute approach 😅

The human powered thrash from town remains on the to-do list but for now, that was about the best way I could have imagined spending Ryan’s day off!
