The rise and fall of the Hannah's. And what a 3 months...! Your Party CEC elections results were out 11.30am Thursday; a big step in the formation of a brand new socialist party after years of (my association with) the building...and a big sigh of relief for me; the end of this chapter of my standing as a candidate in that election in the SE. (no. i did not win. but that's absolutely okay and i didn't do it to win, but to get my approach and self out there into the mix) A very warm thank all who supported my campaign particularly the Collective Action BH Comms Team, my close comrades, friends, including across Your Party proto-branches in the city, and across Sussex, and the SE, who have been so supportive. It's been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and strengthening. The hustings in Kemptown, Eastbourne, Woking, Brighton and Margate particularly were great moments to step forward, articulate the methodology and founding beliefs on which my political work is based. And, importantly, connect with other candidates, members and supporters across the region. It has strengthened my conviction that by building welcoming unifying spaces we activate each other's ability to move for justice - that is my leadership offer - we collectively build community power. We stand together in multiple ways against the terrible war machine system of enforced poverty, violence, and racism that seeks to dehumanize the mass majority of humanity. Together, as moving parts in an ecosystem of socialist left, we are strong. Comradely love last night, getting together for food n pub, after days of a migraine, to ground me again in what really matters- the face to face- the human minds present - chewing over the politics in person - and having a laugh- being together and so we fight from that place of connection. I've felt so discombobulated by the reams and reams on social media particularly over the last few weeks as we all become more frustrated, desperate and worried over the guts and heart of our new socialist party. And socialists are by nature passionate critical angered minds. By reconnecting with some of my local comrades I am heartened
