10 Days in Rwanda. 10 Years of Hope Celebrated!

I’ve just returned from an incredible 10 days in Rwanda, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hope for Children Ministries, an organization I’m blessed to serve as a board member.

When I first visited three years ago, the school served approximately 250 children. Today, more than 700 students are learning, growing and being given opportunities that can truly change the direction of their lives.

Seeing the growth firsthand was remarkable. New classrooms, dormitories providing safe shelter, expanding educational programs and a community coming together to support children and families who need it most.

But what impacted me most were the children themselves. Their joy, resilience, faith and excitement for learning are something I will never forget.

My passion for wellness, sustainability and creating meaningful opportunities brought me to Rwanda three years ago. This visit only strengthened my desire to help build something lasting.

Our next big vision is a much-needed cafeteria, modern kitchen and auditorium, creating a place where children can gather for meals, education, celebrations and community.

Throughout my career, I’ve seen what can happen when people come together around a shared purpose. But witnessing it in Rwanda brings that belief to an entirely different level.

I returned home with a heart full of gratitude, a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for what God may have planned next.

Sometimes the greatest impact of serving others is how profoundly they change us.

I’m looking forward to sharing more about the incredible work happening at Hope for Children and the opportunities ahead. https://www.hopeforchildrenministries.com/

Before the NBA regular season starts I want to send a special thank you and message to the Milwaukee Bucks organization, staff & all of my teammates in the NBA summer league. I can’t put into words how grateful, and honored I am. To be the oldest player in NBA summer league history is an accolade that I am proud to have. The Bucks have a tremendous coaching staff, physical therapists, massage therapists, athletic performance coaches, analytical team, great security, and great front office. To all of my teammates, I wish you guys a great season whether it’s in the NBA, G.League, or Overseas. Want to share this beautiful moment of my life the day of the start of NBA regular season. Thank You @bucks
