💜✨ New England AREA TWIRLERS — WE NEED YOU THIS THURSDAY! ✨💜

It’s not too late to join us for something incredibly special!

This Thursday, October 15, Twirling to Fight Cancer is bringing twirlers together at Light The Night Boston to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the fight against blood cancers.

We’d LOVE to welcome a few more twirlers to help us make this an unforgettable evening.

✨ No special routine experience required!
✨ All twirling levels are welcome!
✨ Bring your baton (light-up batons encouraged!)
✨ Wear black leggings and your Twirling to Fight Cancer shirt and/or team jacket, if you have one!

📍 Boston Common — Beacon & Charles Street entrance
🕔 Meet at 5:00–5:15 PM
💜 Walk begins at 6:45 PM

We’ll be creating a beautiful arch of batons for the walkers and coming together for a special performance! Those who would like to participate in our group routine can learn a short piece of choreography ahead of time.

This cause is especially close to our hearts. We walk and twirl in memory of our dad and in honor of every family affected by blood cancer.

If you’re a twirler, coach, or parent in the Boston area, please help us spread the word!

Even if you can’t twirl with us, we’d love your support through a donation to the Blood Cancer United/ Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every dollar makes a difference. 💜 Interested in joining us? Comment below or send me a message!

Let’s show Boston what the twirling community can do when we come together for a cause. 💜

NBTA Northeast Regional Championship is in the books! I am so proud of how the weekend went, not only for my kids and the AK Teams but how the AK family and friends helped Miss Kristina to host her first competition. My parents were on Grant duty and my dad took beautiful pictures all weekend. Marc’s mom, Joanne clerked on Saturday and took care of Emmett for us. Marc got a super quick lesson on how to read a lineup and was the official announcer for the weekend. Owen clerked all day Saturday, as did super twirl fan Mrs. Fournier who brings joy wherever she goes. It took a whole village to get it done and we did it. Thank you to everyone who helped my kids while I ran concessions and teams, mI knew they would be helped when needed which is priceless.

Violet had her best competition of the season. Her head was clear, she was focused and she won 2 x-struts which moved her to the intermediate level. She had quite a few top 5 placements in tough groups with super talented twirlers. She was also excited to have a personal no drop in a team routine that has been a challenge for her all season.

Grant loves twirl - as he says, it’s his whole life. He was selected to compete in Team Member of the Year for 7-9 (perks of being the only boy and 7-9 twirler in AK) and the proudest thing for me on his scoresheet “spoke in complete sentences” was checked off. What a huge milestone for him. The cherry on top was that he placed 1st. I love seeing him twirl with his team, he shines out there and is so happy.

My favorite portion of competition is talent✨✨✨
I have been a baton twirler since I was 3 years old!! Baton twirling is one of my many passions as it allows me to express my feelings through movement!
Talent has been my favorite portion ever since I began competing as I love being able to perform a new routine on stage, and I am so excited to perform my new talent routine in only a few short weeks!
