“I remember the first time I lined up for Randori. I was nervous as hell. A blue belt came down from the line and picked me right off the bat. We slapped hands, I went into his guard, and the round was over before I even knew what happened. I could’ve stopped, but I kept coming back. Slowly but surely, my rounds got longer, and I started to notice small victories here and there: a back take on a higher belt, a solid submission attempt, a guard pass. Even when someone blew past me, I always left with more knowledge than I had before. And I kept coming back. I never gave up. I left everything I had on the mats.” - Patrick (student testimonial) Photo: @brucemichaelphoto
