Every stretch of water has a story. Learning to read it is what separates simply making casts from consistently putting yourself in a position to catch fish.

Tidal movement, water clarity, bait activity, and changes in depth all play a roll in locating inshore fish. Conditions can change quickly, making adaptability one if the most valuable tools an angler can carry.

The objective is simple: understand the conditions, make informed decisions, and let the water dictate the next move.

Had a few hours post hurricane, and found a few specs hanging around mostly smaller ones but one nice 18.5” on AM fishing lure. I used 3 different colors throughout the day and they were all hitting. Atomic Fire Belly, Blue Crab (Personal Favorite) and Candy Corn. #destin #fishing #kayakfishing #trout #speckledtrout
