📖 NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK 📖
I LOVED my library as a kid (shout out Crozet Library) and it’s the first in many a library that now holds a special place in my heart! As a children’s musician, yes I might play at festivals or other special events, but I LOVE playing at libraries…where communities come together. I’m so grateful for the amazing librarians who put their hearts and souls into the families there!

Thank you to the Amherst County Public Library for hosting another great author festival in their beautiful downtown Amherst location.

It was a pleasure seeing so many local authors, a few familiar readers, and some new faces. And the word is out—I’ve compiled a collection of my short stories into an ebook, Menu of Days. Subscribers will be receiving a free copy soon, and you can get yours now by signing up for my newsletter at EmilyBabbitt.com (link in bio 🔗).

I also picked up a few books from Diane Fanning, Betsy Ashton, and Kaylee Umstead—looking forward to adding these to my TBR.

🌳A LIBRARY-EXCLUSIVE EVENT 🌳
Step into the forest for a unique and semi-immersive experience with award-winning children’s author and musician, Sara Ernst. Through songs, rhymes and nature treasures, your children will learn, use their imaginations, and sparks of curiosity will fly! This special event from Sara Ernst is exclusive to libraries ONLY this year, so don’t miss this opportunity for live music made just for your children with a nature experience they will not forget!

I’ll be visiting several libraries this year (including Lynchburg, Amherst, Madison Heights, Crozet, Charlottesville & Standardsville)…and am open for just a few more if you would enjoy having me at your local library!

It all starts May 20th at 10:30am with The Forest Library! Registration opens 4.22! Be sure to mark your calendar and snag your spots for this very special event!

Your input is vital! Join the James River Association TOMORROW (Tuesday, October 28th) night for a public meeting about the Greening Amherst County Public Libraries initiative.

We're partnering with Amherst County to design green infrastructure at the library, which will reduce polluted stormwater runoff and create a healthier James River! This is your chance to get involved, learn about the plans, and help us make a difference right here in your community.

🌳 Public Meeting to Discuss Green Infrastructure Plans
🗓️ Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 28 @ 6:00 PM
📍 Amherst County Public Library (382 South Main Street, Amherst, VA)

We look forward to seeing you there!
