~~ 33 ~~

Holy moly where did a YEAR go?!?!

It’s hard to believe that a year ago I had just driven from Denver to Mexico with Samson, no job, no community, and no real plan. My two oldest best friends flew down to surprise me for my birthday because I barely knew a soul here.

What a year it’s been! Exploring Mexico with Samson, making beautiful new friendships, countless visits from old friends, and of course, laughing and dancing through it all.

Amidst all the excitement of building a new life in a new country came the stress, uncertainty, and downright exhaustion of a seemingly endless job search. There were moments I genuinely didn’t know if I’d be able to stay, but I kept trusting my gut that this was where I was meant to be and somehow the rest would fall into place.

And it did ✨

One year later, I’m celebrating 33 with a new job, an incredible community of people who have welcomed me with open arms, and a life here that feels like my own.

32 was a year of taking chances, driving without a roadmap (literally and figuratively), navigating plenty of unexpected bumps in the road, meeting beautiful people, exploring new places, and trusting my gut enough to keep going, even when the path forward was anything but clear.

now here I am, newly 33 and feeling more me than ever, and feeling very lucky and very loved 💛

🐄 please enjoy this compilation of sweet moments from this past year, forever laughing and dancing whenever possible 💃🏼
