I’m one of them now 🌵
.
Some reflection about my personal experiences at Midburn 🏜️
I was sceptical at the beginning, not really understanding the appeal of spending so much money for a week of camping in the dust. But all my friends urged me to go, so I was like ‘fck it, i’ll go’.
My friend and I ended up joining a group of free campers that we haven’t met before, which turned out to be the best thing that could’ve happened to us. We joined such a beautiful group of people that made us feel welcome and part of the tribe right away 💕

But to say that it was only amazing and fun would be a lie. At certain points my friend and I split because we wanted to explore different things, and I found myself feeling lonely and scared. You have no reception and pretty much no way to find someone you’re looking for.
So I had this internal struggle, of either caving in and going back to the camp, or to just go venture off myself.

So, why am I saying this? Because, apart from being a truly amazing experience full of miracles, magic, amazing music, kind people, laughter, and dance, to me Midburn was a great lesson about myself, my fears, the way I derive confidence from my friends, and this key moment of deciding to be passive and sad, versus active and just making the decision to enjoy time with myself, dance by myself, walk around by myself.

Sometimes its harder, sometimes its easier, and both are totally okay ❤️
