Just returned from a fantastic treasure hunting trip to France with my great friends @amjames00, @noodlefrancais and @p.l.adams

Here are just some of the lovely bits and bobs I found at the Pézenas Brocante, piled up on the kitchen table back at the beautiful home of @noodlefrancais.

They will be coming with me to @tretawnfarm antiques and vintage fair on Sunday 26th October

We couldn’t resist a mirror selfie at the Brocante, although @p.l.adams missed out as she was too busy shuttling her amazing finds back to the car!

P (peh) is for Panier(basket)

Quintessentially French.
It is the law that you own a basket, in fact, it’s down right rude if you don’t own at least a dozen. The original ethical, reusable shopping bag, successfully transporting a baguette, cheese, wine and fresh flowers from the market without any spillages. The gorgeous icon Jane Birkin, showed us that a basket can also look chic with any outfit and on any occasion. She was rarely seen without one.
In the home, they are perfect for storing toys, shoes, vegetables and the endless paraphernalia we collect.

Typiquement français.
C’est la loi que vous possédez un panier, en fait, c’est carrément impoli si vous n’en possédez pas au moins une douzaine. Le sac de courses original, éthique et réutilisable, transportant avec succès une baguette, du fromage, du vin et des fleurs fraîches du marché sans aucun déversement. La magnifique icône Jane Birkin nous a montré qu’un panier peut aussi être chic avec n’importe quelle tenue et en toute occasion. On la voyait rarement sans un.
À la maison, ils sont parfaits pour ranger des jouets, des chaussures, des légumes et tout l’attirail infini que nous collectons.

Sunday Sofa. Our Bordeaux sofa is one of those sofas that looks good however it’s dressed. You can let loose and get creative by mixing a gorgeous print with plain textures and beautifully trimmed cushions. This one is shown in a slight variation on the fabrics chosen by our buying director for her own Bordeaux. A pleasing alternative to a sofa in just one solid colour. What do you think?

Spent the weekend in Polzeath with my gorgeous friends. T’was utterly beautiful. Stunning accommodation curtesy of @clareth0rnt0n, Jaw dropping scenery and surf courtesy of Mother Nature and Mad hair courtesy of my mum! Could have only been improved if @p.l.adams had been there😔
Now back in France navigating the rail system in the hope I read the signage right 😳

We walked, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we shopped, we hugged, we stayed up way too late, we practiced our french over a broken down hire car, we talked non stop, we soaked up the sun and one of us exposed our bosoms to the folk in Pézenas 😳😂
All in all… a stupendous few days with my gorgeous friends. Love them to bits!

Yesterday … late afternoon start at the cinema to watch Top Gun (loved!) ending up at @lidobristol for tapas and an in-depth discussion on whether Tom Cruise dyes his hair. All very deep!
