What an absolute joy and honor it was to cut the ribbon on @amnh's new Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation!!! Alongside @nycmayor, museum and community leaders, and the incredible musicians from @bkunitedmb, we helped officially open this cavernous and curvaceous new cultural space to the public yesterday. Science education is at the foundation of the spectacular new Gilder Center, which features exhibition galleries and one-of-a-kind experiences, including an insectarium, butterfly vivarium, floor-to-ceiling collections displays, and more—and connects to the rest of the American Museum of Natural History on four floors. The City of New York invested more than $90 million in the facility - an example of how the public-private partnership between our local government and cultural sector delivers extraordinary spaces and experiences for New Yorkers, and continues to drive our city's resurgence and recovery.
