HANGING ON (BY A THREAD) JUST BROKE A MILLION STREAMS ON SPOTIFY!!!!!!! the morning of April 27, 2023 the beginning of the song started playing in my head like a radio. I couldn’t stop humming it around the house. I quickly got the bones down on a voice memo and that night showed Addison. within the next couple of days most of the song poured out of us. It was a time before our little band had any real momentum at all (and if you listen to the words you can hear how incredibly discouraged we were)

when we sent it to @tomdenneymusic (the goat) not only did he dig the song, but he wrote the sickest bridge and sent it back to us and we were absolutely floored us.. We put the song out a year later before first 6 week national tour and since we were so busy surviving on the road, we didn’t really have a chance to push it like we hoped for.

In 2025, at the beginning of summer, we started posting clips of us playing the song and it completely changed our lives. now at our shows, it’s the song people know the most and sing the loudest.

I guess I’m writing all of this because you never know when a song will hit people. You just create because it feels good and you believe in it. And now, we’ve built this entire world for us all to exist in. Thank you to the early believers in our band and to the others just finding us and coming along for the ride. We truly have only just begun…. ✨🖤🏁
