There’s something about a wedding where two cultures meet that we never get tired of, and this is T & J’s. Two families, two sets of traditions, all gathered under one sky at Otter Trail Winery, slowly becoming one big family over the course of a single day. We got to watch that happen in real time, and it was beautiful.

Then the sun went down and the dance floor came alive. When the saxophonist stepped out and wove his way through the crowd, something shifted, and the whole room just moved together. Wedding party, cousins, old friends, all of them lost in the same song. Those are the moments we live for.

And to the vendor team who made it all feel so effortless, thank you! 🥂

There I go crying on the internet again.

I have been holding on to this for awhile. I wasn’t ready to share it, the words needed to be exactly right. But I don’t think I will ever find the words, so here it is.

What it comes down to… when you hire me, you get my brain (trust me it’s worth every penny) but you also get my heart. And that might be where the real value lies. Package deal, no returns.

A lot of life happened between that first call and their wedding day. The texts and emails turned into inside jokes, the voice notes might as well have been podcasts, and somewhere in all of it, we became really invested in each other and what we were creating together.

Crying at weddings is hardly new territory for me. But this? I did not see this coming. Mildly embarrassing to sob uncontrollably on the dance floor? Sure. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because if I ever stop caring this much, I probably shouldn’t be doing this anymore.

So yes, you get the timelines and the spreadsheets and the logistics and the problem solving and every mildly unhinged idea living inside my brain.

But you get this part too. 🤍

When the bride walks in and says, “OMG Amanda, this looks like my Pinterest board!” 🤍

This day was absolutely everything.

I honestly don’t even have the words for it yet, which might be why it hasn’t gotten the fully dedicated post it deserves.

Months of planning, designing, dreaming, refining and bringing every little detail together led to this room, and watching it all come to life was pretty special.
